Zheguang is an independent design studio working on culture, public information and new ventures. We like to start from archives, conversations and the site itself, and turn complex information into clear, durable visual systems that move between media.

Content first, then form
We find a visual grammar in the material and how it is used, not in whatever style is fashionable.
Systems, not one-offs
One set of rules has to work on the web, in print and in space without being redrawn every time.
Keep the user in the room
Every choice is tested against readability, maintainability and the real workflow.
How a small studio works
We keep a small core team so research, content structure and visual design are discussed at the same table. When photography, development, writing or fabrication need deeper expertise, we bring in long-time collaborators. The key decisions stay with the same people throughout.
We care most about what happens after delivery: whether the in-house team can keep updating it, whether people can find what they need, whether the system survives the next medium.
What we work on
Local culture and public space, independent publishing and knowledge, digital tools and information services. We choose these not because they look cultured, but because complex content deserves careful design.
